Hayley Williams leads pop-punk front-runners Paramore, along with guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro. Following their first tour in six years last summer, Paramore will release their highly anticipated new album, This Is Why, on February 10, 2023. Then in March, the band will perform as a special guest on Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour's opening night.

This Is Why serves as the follow-up to the band's acclaimed 2017 LP, After Laughter, which yielded the hits 'Hard Times' and 'Rose-Coloured Boy'. It comes after lead singer Hayley Williams' two solo albums, Petals For Armor, in 2020 and FLOWERS for VASES / descansos in 2021.

“This Is Why,” the lead single from the band’s upcoming album, has risen to the top of the Alternative Airplay list dated February 4th. "Misery Business" by Paramore debuted on Alternative Airplay in 2007, peaking at number 3. It was the band's highest-charting song on the chart for nearly 15 years until "This Is Why." Between the two songs, the band have charted ten singles, featuring, In total, six top ten hits, including "Crushcrushcrush" at number 4 in 2008, "Decode" at number 5 in 2009, "Ignorance" at number 7 in 2009, and "Brick by Boring Brick" at 9 in 2010.
