It’s the comeback every Rush fan has been waiting for. After more than a decade off the road, the Canadian rock legends are returning with their Fifty Something Tour — and New York City is on the list. Catch Rush live at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, August 1, 2026, for one of four New York dates on this massive 50-show tour that runs from June to December.

This marks the band’s first tour without the late Neil Peart, and stepping behind the kit is acclaimed German drummer Anika Nilles, known for her work with Jeff Beck. She’ll help bring Peart’s legacy to life as Rush performs 35 songs split into two sets, covering highlights from 24 gold and 14 platinum records, including Moving Pictures, their top-selling album.

Fifty Something Tour

It's the comeback tour of the year! Come watch Rush in their Fifty Something Tour, their first ever concert without the late Neil Peart, the band's legendary drummer. The massive tour, happening 11 years after their last, covers 50 dates from June until December 2026 with stops in major cities such as Inglewood, Mexico City, Chicago, Toronto, New York City, Seattle, Vancouver and a lot more. The Big Apple will see Rush on four dates including a Saturday night, on August 1, 2026 right at the historic Madison Square Garden.

The upcoming jaunt will put 35 carefully-selected tracks divided into two sets. Each night will be unique, featuring different set lists blending Rush's unique sound of progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal. Expect carefully-selected tracks from their massive discography which includes 24 gold records and 14 platinum records including 'Moving Pictures', the band's highest selling album with 5x Platinum certifications. 

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers ensure an unforgettable performance, founded by their storng work ethic and a desire to accurately recreate songs from their albums. For long-time Rush concert goers, you can expect the same magic that you've experienced in their prime and for first-timers, get ready to have your minds blown. The stage will be backdropped by incredible props while the artists will be equipped with their own MIDI controllers and a flair for improvisation to make each night unique. 

You will also witness a new face on the stage, German drummer Anika Nilles who will fill in for Rush's late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart's big shoes. Nilles is best-known in her work performing with Jeff Beck and her solo works and this year, her talents will help celebrate Neil's extraordinary legacy.
