On-site parking for cars is limited. However, there are many parking garages in the area. The best option for MSG event attendees, however, is public transportation. Penn Station, where many of the subway lines stop, is underneath MSG. Therefore, you can simply step off of lines 1, 2, 3, A, C and E. If you do plan on driving to the event, it's best to plan ahead and get there early to find parking in one of the many public garages nearby.
