Already a notable songwriter before becoming a singer, Meghan has credits for writing with and for artists like Rascal Flatts and Sabrina Carpenter, which has led her into some unlikely collaborations, like those with John Legend, Snoop Dogg, and T-Pain. She also has a podcast, Workin' On It, along with one of her special guests and brother, Ryan Trainor, and has been a judge on The Four: Battle for Stardom, The Voice UK, and Australian Idol.
While her style has been Blue-eyed soul mixed with 50s and 60s girl groups, this new album, On the Toy with Me, Meghan takes her music into more hyper-pop and 90s dance directions. A massive Euro duo from Stockholm, Sweden, Icona Pop are best friends Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt. Having previously opened for Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and One Direction, they are no strangers to hyping up the crowd with Billboard Dance Club Songs hits like "All Night" and "Emergency." They were the first major act to collaborate with Charli XCX, bringing out the hit "I Love It" which went on to be used in Girls, Need for Speed, and a bunch of commercials nobody cares about.
Moving out of the podcast shadow and into the limelight with his sister, Ryan is Meghan’s older brother as well as primary tour DJ and hype man.
